A minha filha veio visitar-nos* durante esta semana, e a lâmpada no quarto dela fundiu-se**. Felizmente uma das funções do pai é ensinar a próxima geração fazer estas coisas. Ela não tinha aprendido anteriormente. As lâmpadas de LED duram muito tempo portanto a necessidade não surgiu enquanto ela vivia cá no apartamento mas graças a deus ela já sabe e não deoenderá nmelde um homem qualquer.
*A correction out paid go the word “connosco” in my original sentence “…está a ficar connosco” which isn’t a very idiomatic way of speaking, so this footnote is orphaned now, but for what it’s worth, I got a red wiggle under it because it turns out connosco is another of those words that is spelled differently in Brazil than in Portugal despite the AO. Connosco/Conosco. The options Chrome gives me on this laptop are “Português (Brasil)” and “Português” so I assumed the second one was PT-PT but not so. Gutted!
